May 23rd–May 30th: Transfer Week and Good News for Maggi!

Sorry that the emails are a bit late this week. It's transfers and so we only get a little bit of a pday in between transfer travels. So the basic highlights of the week.

Exchanges with the Zone Leaders. We met a couple of massive Irishmen and then I accidentally called the Pope an “ice cream man.” That went down real well. Good thing they had a sense of humor. They were huge and boxers.

Maggi came to church! And she wants to get baptized. She decided that she couldn't let her family change her mind about something that she knew was good. So she wants to get baptized again.

Henry has opened back up again. He is kinda willing to be taught and we have been able to work out a system to get him reading. We will call him every morning and read with him for 10 minutes. That way he can ask questions for his understanding as we read.

We met Collin who is a crazy man from London but is super nice. We will see how he goes.

Low light….Gabriel is in prison and sentenced for 18 months. If he is good he will only serve 9 of that. I feel so bad for Ana and the kids.

Transfers—I am staying for another transfer in Southport. Elder Singsam is going back to the place he started to end his mission in Manchester south. My new companion is Elder Harris whom I know nothing about. I think he is from Utah.  He goes home the same time as Elder Singsam so I am only going to have him for 5 weeks. Should be good. So many missionaries go home this summer. 12 out of the 14 Zone Leaders will be gone by September.

Sorry about the short email
